From the 4th to the 5th November 2009, NYCM (National Youth Council in Moldova), within the Coalition for Nondiscrimination, organized the seminar with the generic “The Role of the NGO in combating discrimination”. This seminar is a part from the project “Promotion of Non-discriminatory Policies in the Republic of Moldova” 

From the 4th to the 5th November 2009, NYCM (National Youth Council in Moldova), within the Coalition for Nondiscrimination, organized the seminar with the generic “The Role of the NGO in combating discrimination”. This seminar is a part from the project “Promotion of Non-discriminatory Policies in the Republic of Moldova” 

The representatives of the Department of Social Integration and of the Health and Care Department from the Association ACASA took part in this event.

The seminar was addressed both theoretical, delimiting the conceptual problems of interpretation of terms and a draft of law on non-discrimination and practical, solutions-oriented and concrete activities that could be implemented by NGOs to combat the phenomenon discrimination.

The seminar was interactive and participative. 

Goran Milevic and Miroslav Durdevic, the members of the Organization Civil Rights Defenders, experts in promotion of law on non discrimination in Balkan countries took part at this event. Both early mentioned members of the Civil Rights Defenders promoted the law for non discrimination in such countries like Serbia, Kosovo, Macedonia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. At this moment they offer support for the Coalition for non discrimination and offer consultancy in the process of promotion and of further adoption of this law in the Republic of Moldova.
